Three Tips for Designing Your Vet Website

Different websites

It’s no secret that one of the best marketing tools these days is the internet, and it’s gotten to the point where everyone and every business is on the internet — now it’s about who is doing it better. The variety of different platforms and tools to get messages to customers is increasing at a seemingly exponential level, but to make sure you’re keeping up with the competition you should make sure you’re building from the ground up. This means having a well designed website, and here are a few website design tips and tricks to get you started.

Include a call to action
One effective web design trick for veterinary clinic websites is to add in a call to action. A well placed button or link can help engage customers and draw them in to take advantage of your services. Add a button inviting people to “Make an Appointment”. People love when things are easy, and the easier the better. If they have the option to make an appointment with the single click of a mouse — as opposed to making a phone call — they’ll be more likely to do it.

Add social media
Another web design trick is to integrate your social media to it. People love social media, anywhere, any time. Add a ticker of your Twitter feed or just buttons that link to all of your social media presences. Invite people to “Like” your clinic on Facebook or follow your Instagram (which should be a social media gold mine of adorable pet photos #nofilterneeded).

Keep your customers from hitting the back button
The most important thing to remember when it comes to designing a professional website is that you want people to stay on the page. When people come to veterinary clinic websites, they do it for a purpose. Keep that in mind and make sure that your website is above all, easy to navigate.
